Pipe Bomb Attack, Mayfield Court, Newtownabbey

Police in Newtownabbey are investigating an incident in the Mayfield Court area on Wednesday night, 25 February.
Shortly before 9.25pm a pipe bomb type device was thrown at a car and ignited in a garden at Mayfield Court.
Army Technical Officers attended and the device has been taken away for further examination.
No injuries were reported and damage was caused to two cars.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or has information relating to it to contact them on 0845 600 8000. Alternatively information about crime can be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity by contacting 0800 555 111.
