Attempted murder, Lisburn

Detectives in Lisburn are treating as attempted murder a stabbing incident in the Millbrook Road area of the city in the early hours of Saturday 13 June.

Following a disturbance on the street shortly before 2am, one 20-year-old male sustained stab wounds to his body and was taken to hospital where he is in a critical condition. One other 18-year-old male also sustained a stab wound to his side, but his injury is not thought to be life threatening at this time.

Three males, aged 23, 21, and 20 years have been arrested and are currently assisting police with their enquiries.

A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a 20 year old man after a stabbing incident in the Millbrook Road area of Lisburn during the early hours of Saturday morning, 13 June.

The deceased has been named as Darren Roberts from the Lisburn area.

The incident occurred in the Millbrook Road area shortly before 2am following a disturbance. One other 18 year old male also sustained a stab wound to his side, but his injury is not thought to be life threatening at this time.

Detectives in Lisburn are appealing to anyone who may have been driving through or in the area of Millbrook Road, Queen's Road or Seymour Street around 1.45am this morning and noticed a disturbance or the men being attacked or has any information in relation to this incident to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
