Disturbance and assault, Bessbrook

Detectives are appealing for information about an incident in Bessbrook, County Down.
Shortly before 10.25pm on Friday 5 June a disturbance in the street involving a number of people at Cloughreagh Park was reported to police.
Two males aged in their late teens who had been assaulted were taken to hospital with injuries which were not believed to be life-threatening.
During the incident it was reported that a man had been seen carrying what appeared to be a handgun. One male aged in his 20s has been arrested in connection with this report and a pellet-firing handgun has been removed for further examination.
