Shooting incident, Florence Street, Derry

A 26 year old man was taken to hospital following a shooting incident in the Florence Street area of Derry on Sunday night, 28 June.
Shortly before midnight, the victim opened the front door of his house. One male, armed with a gun, fired three shots through the door, injuring the victim in the legs. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to two gunshot wounds to one leg and another to his foot. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The attacker left the scene on foot. A motive for the attack remains under investigation.
