Shooting incident, West Belfast

Detectives on the Antrim Road are appealing for information following a shooting incident on the Monagh Road that was reported shortly after 10.00am on Wednesday 20 May.
A 27-year-old man was shot a number of times in the legs by two males who then fled the scene. It is understood that a number of people were in the vicinity at the time and detectives are keen that they come forward.
A motive for the attack remains under investigation.
The victim has been taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries that are not thought to be life threatening at this time.
