Assault, West Circular Road, West Belfast

Detectives in West Belfast are appealing for information following an assault in the West Circular Road area.

At approximately 10.10pm on Saturday night, 16 May, two males entered a house, lifted a glass bottle and smashed it before stabbing a 17 year old male with it.

The male sustained two stab wounds to his side and was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The first male is described as being approximately 38 to 39 years old, 5ft 10 in tall and spoke with a local accent. He was wearing a black coat and blue jeans.

The second male is described as being approximately 38 years old, 6ft 2in tall and was wearing a green coat, green baseball hat and light blue jeans.

Detectives are appealing to anyone who was in the area and noticed the men entering or leaving the house to contact them at Antrim Road on 0845 600 8000. Information about crime can also be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
