Robbery, Lurgan

Detectives in Lurgan, County Armagh, are appealing for information about a robbery.

Shortly after 8.25pm on Thursday 14 May it was reported that three man armed with hammers and a knife had entered a bingo hall at Old Portadown Road.

The men stole cash belonging to the bingo hall as well as four handbags belonging to staff and customers.

One of the men was described as heavily built and was wearing tan trousers, a dark blue coat with grey sleeves and black gloves.

The second was wearing a white or grey jacket, black and blue tracksuit trousers and a dark balaclava. He was carrying a brown bag.

The third man was dressed in black clothes.

Anyone who witnessed a dark-coloured saloon car leaving the Riverglade / Gilpinstown Road area of Lurgan at the time of the incident is asked to contact police.
