Serious sexual assault, Cliftonville Road, North Belfast

Police from the Rape Crime Unit are appealing for information following the serious sexual assault of a woman in the early hours of this morning in the Cliftonville Road area of north Belfast.
Around 3am the 62-year-old woman answered a knock on her door where a male pushed his way in and sexually assaulted her for some time. The attacker left and is believed to have made his way along the Cliftonville Road towards Cliftonville Circus. The woman although severely traumatised by her ordeal was able to contact police.
The attacker is described as in his late 20s early 30s, around 5ft 9ins tall, of slim build with short dark hair. He was wearing blue jeans, a short grey jacket, a red and pink t-shirt and a striped scarf.
