Attemped hijacking, Ballyclare

Detectives in Newtownabbey are appealing for information following an attempted hijacking outside Ballyclare.
The incident, which occurred on the evening of Tuesday 17 November, evening took place before the Hillhead Road roundabout on the 'Larne Line' heading from Corr's Corner Roundabout towards Ballyclare.
At around 7.25pm, police on patrol came across a white Citroen Berlingo on the Ballynure Road. The 23 year old male driver was badly shaken and was taken to hospital to be treated for bruising and a cut to his hand. His injuries were sustained when four masked males in another vehicle rammed the Berlingo, forcing the vehicle to stop. The males then assaulted the victim before leaving the scene.
The incident is being treated as an attempted hijacking, however enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.
