Attempted robbery, Downpatrick

Detectives are investigating following an attempted robbery at a chemist shop in Downpatrick. The incident occurred at approximately 5pm this evening in St Patricks Street. It is understood that one male armed with a knife entered the shop and demanded money. The man fled empty handed and was chased by staff and members of the public.
One man aged 26 years and a male youth aged 15 years were arrested a short time later and are currently helping Police with their enquiries.
