Armed Robbery, South Belfast

Detectives are appealing for information about a robbery in South Belfast.
Shortly before 3pm on Monday 23 November, it was reported that a male armed with what appeared to be a handgun had entered a confectioners shop close to the junction of Ravenhill Road and Ormeau Road.
The thief pointed the gun at a girl of primary school age, a relative of the owner, and told the female owner of the shop to hand over the contents of a cash register. A second child - a boy aged under five - was also present in the shop as a customer.
The male, who made his escape on foot with a sum of cash, was last seen on the Ormeau Road. He is described as aged in his teens, around 5'6 in height, of thin build and with pale complexion. He had short, light hair, a strong Belfast accent and wore a white baseball cap, white zip-up tracksuit top and blue jeans.
