Burglary, Castlereagh
16 Nov 2009
Detectives are appealing for information following a burglary at Sheskin Way in the Castlereagh area.
Three men forced their way into a house at approximately 5.15pm on Saturday 14 November. On doing so they knocked the elderly householder to the ground. One of the men held the 83 year old in the hallway while the other two ransacked the upstairs of the property.
The victim began to shout out and the first male attempted to cover her mouth before carrying her to the living room and placing her on the sofa. This male threatened the victim, however no weapon was seen.
The other two males then searched the downstairs of the property before all three made off.
The first male is described as in his 30s or 40s, 5' 6" to 5' 10" tall, broad shouldered with a round, clean shaven face.
The second male is described as around the same age, build and height as the first. The third male is described as younger than the other two, of thin build with dark hair.
It is believed a handbag, a number of bank books and a bank card were taken.
Anyone who was in the area and who noticed any suspicious activity is asked to contact detectives by calling 0845 600 8000. Alternatively information about crime can be passed anonymously by calling 0800 555 111.
