Garrison police operation - Update

Two men aged 41 and 26 remain in custody at the PSNI Serious Crime Suite in County Antrim, after a police operation which foiled what is believed to have been a planned terrorist attack in Garrison, County Fermanagh, on Saturday November 21 2009.

Two other men aged 32 and 22, have been released without charge. Another man arrested in the Republic Of Ireland by colleagues in An Garda Siochana who are assisting with this investigation has also been released without charge.

PSNI Chief Constable Matt Baggot praised his officers for their "courage and professionalism" during the operation.
