Serious assault, Waterloo Place, Derry

Detectives in Derry are investigating a serious assault in the Waterloo Place area of the City in the early hours of this morning (Saturday 28 November) which has left a young man in hospital in a serious condition with a fractured skull.

Sometime between 1am and 1:30am the young man in his early twenties was assaulted a number of times in the area of Waterloo place and Waterloo Street areas.  He was attacked initially by one assailant who may then have been joined by others.
