Two charged after Organised Crime Operation

A 41 year old man has been charged with the importation of Class B drugs, two counts of possession and two counts of possession with intent to supply a class B drug and one count of money laundering. A 27 year old man has been charged with importation of Class B drugs and conspiracy to supply controlled drugs. Both are expected to appear at Newry Magistrates' Court on Monday morning, 9 November.

As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.

The charges relate to a cross border proactive operation by the PSNI's Organised Crime Branch and An Garda Siochana. The operation resulted in a substantial amount of suspected Class B drugs with a street value of £500,000 and a large amount of cash being recovered.
