Vehicle hijacking, Dunmurry, Lisburn

Detectives in Lisburn are appealing for information following a vehicle hijacking in the Dunmurry area on Sunday 8 November.
Sometime between 11:15 and 11:30pm, the male culprit was picked up in a taxi in the Shankhill Road area of Belfast. The taxi driver was taking him to the Dunmurry area when he produced what was believed to have been a handgun. The driver was made to get out of the car and the culprit made off in the vehicle. The car, a blue Mazda, has not yet been recovered. The taxi driver was not injured however he was shaken by his ordeal.
Detectives in Lisburn are investigating and have appealed to anyone with information to contact them on 0845 600 8000. Alternatively, information about crime can be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity by calling 0800 555 111.
