Vehicle hijacking, Dunmurry, Lisburn

Detectives in Lisburn are appealing for information following a vehicle hijacking in the Dunmurry area on Sunday 8 November.

Sometime between 11:15 and 11:30pm, the male culprit was picked up in a taxi in the Shankhill Road area of Belfast.  The taxi driver was taking him to the Dunmurry area when he produced what was believed to have been a handgun.  The driver was made to get out of the car and the culprit made off in the vehicle.  The car, a blue Mazda, has not yet been recovered.  The taxi driver was not injured however he was shaken by his ordeal.
