Burglary, Ballyoran Park, Portadown

Police are investigating following a burglary at the home of an elderly man at Ballyoran Park in Portadown last night, Friday 16 October.
The 76 year old householder was in bed when an unknown male entered his room at around 9.30pm. This male placed his hand over the victims mouth before proceeding to search the room. He removed a pair of jeans which contained a significant sum of money and a set of keys.
After this male had left the victim discovered that another bedroom in the house had also been searched.
The intruder is described as in his 20s or 30s, between 5' 6" and 5' 8" tall, of a slim build. It's is believed he spoke with a local accent.
The householder, who was left shocked but otherwise uninjured, was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Detectives, who believe the intruder may have been accompanied by a number of other males, are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. They can be contacted at Lurgan CID by calling 0845 600 8000.
