Police appeal over injured pedestrian

Police are appealing for help in identifying a male pedestrian knocked down by a car in Haywood Avenue, South Belfast on Thursday 1 October.  The incident, which occurred at the junction with Haypark Avenue, was reported to police shortly before 8pm.

The man is described as in his 70’s, medium build, around 5’10” tall, with white hair combed over.  He is unshaven and has a skull and dagger tattoo on his right forearm and two hearts tattooed on his upper left arm.  The man was wearing blue jeans, a grey shirt over a white t-shirt, a grey fleece and black shoes.  It is believed that the injured man may also be receiving treatment for a skin condition.

The man was taken to hospital following the collision where his condition is described as critical.  The incident is not being treated as a hit and run.
