Aggravated burglary, Mountcoole Park, North Belfast

Detectives are appealing for information after a couple were robbed as they returned to their home in North Belfast on Sunday evening, 18 October.

The man and woman, believed to be in their late seventies and early eighties, were opening the front door of their house in the Mountcoole area shortly before 8pm, when they were pushed inside by two males. The couple were locked in the kitchen while the thieves carried out a search of the house. It is believed that a a small sum of cash and bank cards were stolen.

The culprits are both described as young and tall and spoke with Belfast accents. It is believed that a third male may have waited outside in a silver or grey hatchback car.
