Attempted ATM robbery, Moy, County Tyrone

Detectives in Dungannon are appealing for information about an attempt to steal a cash machine in the Moy area today (Tuesday 20 October).
At around 4am a gang of five or six men used a mechanical digger in an attempt to steal the machine from a shop at Charlemont Street in Moy. The machine was slightly damaged, but the thieves left empty-handed. Detectives believe the gang stole the digger from road work and also used a flatbed lorry. The digger was abandoned at the scene and the lorry was found at Granville.
Detectives are appealing for information from anyone who saw the digger or truck being driven to the scene or noticed the truck on its journey to Granville. The number to call is 0845 600 8000. Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
