Police in Cookstown are appealing for witness following an assault in the Molesworth Street area during the early hours of Saturday morning (19 September).
It's believed a 21 year old man was set upon by another male close to a local night club at around 2am. He is currently being treated in hospital for serious head injuries.
Police believe a large number of people were in the area at the time and they are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault. They are especially keen to hear from a member of the public who telephoned for an ambulance from the scene. The number to call is 0845 600 8000.
