Drugs seizure, County Armagh

Detectives from the Tactical Crime Unit in E District have seized a quantity of suspected ecstasy and cannabis following a number of planned searches in the Portadown and Lurgan areas on 11 September. A quantity of illegal cigarettes were seized as well as a sum of cash.
A 26 year old female has been arrested on suspicion of possessing false identity documents and a 37 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of possessing class A and B drugs. These two remain in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
A 28 year old man was also arrested on suspicion of possessing Class B drugs. He was later charged with drugs offences and will appear at Craigavon Magistrate Court on Thursday 1 October.
As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
