Assault Castlewellan Road, Banbridge

Police in Banbridge are appealing for witnesses following an incident where two men were assaulted in the Castlewellan Road area in the early hours of yesterday morning, Saturday 12 September.
Around 1.40am it was reported that a group of males set upon the men aged 23 and 24, close to commercial premises. The attack resulted in the two injured men being treated in hospital, where one, the 23 year old currently remains with serious facial injuries.
A 19 year old man has since been arrested; interviewed in connection with the incident, and released pending further enquiries.
