Attempted armed robbery, Castlereagh Road

Detectives in Musgrave Street are appealing for information following an attempted armed robbery at a fast food outlet on the Castlereagh Road in east Belfast in the early hours of this morning (Sunday 6 September).
Shortly after midnight, two males entered the premises. One of the males jumped over the counter and demanded money. A 25-year-old male member of staff sustained cuts to his hands and arm and was treated in hospital. It is understood that one of the robbers may have been armed with a sharp implement.
The two robbers left empty handed in the direction of nearby Isoline Street. Both are thought to be in their twenties. One was wearing a black anorak, a grey hooded top and had a black scarf covering his face. The second male was wearing a dark coloured jacket and red scarf.
