PSNI Serious Crime Branch charge man with possessing gun

Detectives from the PSNI Serious Crime Branch have charged a 33 years-old man with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
The charge follows a police operation against suspected dissident republican activity in Dungannon, County Tyrone, on September 22 2009, when a number of firearms were recovered.
As is normal procedure, the charge will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service (PPS). A 29 years-old man who was also arrested in that operation has been released pending a report to the PPS.
