Seizure of Class B drugs and arrests, Coleraine and Bushmills

Officers from Crime Team North, based in Coleraine, have arrested six people and seized a quantity of suspected class B drugs during a planned operation in the Bushmills and Coleraine areas.
Searches were carried out on Friday night, 25 September, and during the early hours of Saturday morning, 26 September. A quantity of suspected cannabis, a number of cannabis plants, a sum of cash and drugs paraphernalia were seized.
Two females, aged 23 and 46, and four males, aged 24, 26, 27 and 24, were arrested. A 46 year old female and 26 year old male remain in custody, a 24 year old male has been released pending report to the PPS and a 23 year old female, 24 year old male and 27 year old male have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Officers in Crime team North, based in Coleraine , have charged a 26 year old male and 24 year old male with drugs offences following a planned operation in the Bushmills and Coleraine areas on 25 and 26 September.
The 26 year old has been charged with possession of class B drugs, possesion of class B drugs with intent to supply, being concerned in the supply of class B drugs and supply of class B drugs to appear before North Antrim Magistrates' Court on Monday, 28 September.
The 24 year old male has been charged with possession of class B drugs, cultivating cannabis, possessing class B drugs with intent to supply and being concerned in the supply of class B drugs to appear before North Antrim Magistrates' Court on 19 October.
A 23 year old female was released on bail pending report and a 46 year old female was released without charge.
As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
