Stabbing incident, North Belfast

Police in North Belfast are appealing for witnesses following a stabbing incident in the early hours of this morning, Sunday 13 September.

Around 3.10am a 20 year old man was injured after he attempted to break up a fight between a group of males in the area of Havana Way.  The man sustained stab wounds to his back and was taken to hospital with injuries described as not life threatening at this stage.

Police in Tennent Street are working to establish a motive and are asking anyone with information to contact them on 0845 600 8000.  Alternatively information can be passed anonymously via the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555111.
