Shooting incident, Summerhill Drive, Dunmurry

An investigation is underway after a 25 year old man was shot in the Summerhill Drive area of Dunmurry on Tuesday 29 September.
Shortly before 8.45pm the man answered the door of his flat to be confronted by three masked men, one of whom was armed with a handgun. The man struggled with his attackers before being pushed to the ground and shot. He sustained gunshot wounds to his left hand, left calf, right calf, right thigh and right shoulder. He is currently recovering in hospital.
One man was arrested a short time later on Cherry Road, Dunmurry . A woman was also arrested on Wednesday morning, 30 September. Both have been taken to Antrim Serious Crime Suite for questioning.
Police are working to establish a motive for the incident.
