Police are appealing for witnesses after a number of incidents in the Lurgan area on Tuesday 29 September.
Shortly after midnight an attempt was made to steal a white Honda Civic Type R from the driveway of a house at Union Court. The door frame on the driver's side had been bent back activating the alarm.
At approximately 4am it was reported three males had been seen acting suspiciously in the area of the car park at Lurgan hospital. Police attended and discovered a red Volkswagen Golf had been entered however nothing was taken. The rear doors to the hospital had also been opened however it is not believed the property was entered.
Shortly after 5am police received a report a car had been broken into at Mark Street. Police responding to the call also came across a second vehicle which had been entered. Two males, who were observed in the area, made off from police. One of these males, a 16year old youth, was apprehended and arrested. He was subsequently released on police bail to return to a police station at a later date.
Enquiries into all three incidents are continuing.
Police are investigating a possible link between these incidents and would appeal for witnesses to come forward. Officers can be contacted at Lurgan police station on 0845 600 8000. Anonymous information can also be passed to the Crimestoppers charity 0800 555 111.
