Armed robbery arrests, East Belfast

Police have arrested two men following three armed robberies which occurred at convenience stores in East Belfast between 7.30am and 8.40am on Friday 2 April.
Armed robberies, resulting in the theft of cash, were reported at a grocery shop at Albertbridge Road and two at Woodstock Road.
Police responded to all three robberies very quickly and immediately launched a proactive investigation.
As a result of the quick actions of response police, detectives and specialist officers, two men were arrested at a house at Ardenvohr Street, East Belfast.
A suspect firearm was also recovered.
Both men, one aged in his late teens and one in his 20s, were arrested.
