Man arrested, Warrenpoint

Police have arrested a man following a disturbance at a house in the Ganna Way area of Warrenpoint during the early hours of this morning.
At around 2.10am police received a report a 40 year old woman had sustained a number of lacerations to her hands and feet as well as a head injury. She was taken to hospital for treatment however her injuries are not believed to be life threatening at this time.
A 45 year old man was arrested by police in the Queen Street area a short time later. He was also taken to hospital for treatment to a wrist injury.
Police enquiries are ongoing.
