Car damaged by fire, Newcastle

Detectives in Downpatrick are appealing for information after a car was damaged by fire in the Bracken Avenue area of Newcastle on Saturday 10 April.
At approximately 5am, police received a report that a car was on fire in the area. Flames from the vehicle spread to a nearby house. Four people were in the house at the time but no-one was injured.
Detectives are treating the fire as deliberate at this stage and would appeal to anyone who has any information to contact them at Downpatrick police station on 0845 600 8000. Alternatively, information about crime can be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity by calling 0800 555 111.
