Aggravated burglary, Christine Road, Newtownabbey

Police in Newtownabbey are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary at a house in the Christine Road area last night (Sunday 18 April).
Shortly before 6:30pm the male occupant of the house answered a knock to the door and was confronted by three unknown males who forced their way into his home. They threatened him and struck him on the head with an ornament before ransacking his office and making off with a sum of money.
The 62 year old man received a small cut to his head.
Anyone who witnessed the burglary or who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area is asked to contact detectives at Newtownabbey on 0845 600 8000. Alternatively information can be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
