Man shot in leg, Cable Street, Derry

Police are investigating after a 24 year old man was shot in the leg in Derry last night (Tuesday 13 April).
A number of masked men entered a property at Cable Street shortly after 10pm. One male went upstairs to a front bedroom and fired a number of shots however none struck the victim. A second masked male then entered the bedroom shooting the vicitm once in the back of his right leg.
The males then ran from the house via the back door.
The victim was taken to hospital where his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
