Men charged, East Belfast

04 Apr 2010

Two males aged 18 and 23 have each been charged with three counts of robbery and one count of possession of a firearm or imitation firearm with intent to endanger life.

The 23 year old male has been further charged with possession of ammunition in suspicious circumstances and possession of fireworks without a license.

Both are expected to appear at Laganside Magistrates court on Monday 5 April.

It's understood the charges follow three robberies in the Albertbridge and Woodstock Road areas of East Belfast on Friday 2 April and a subsequent police search in the Ardenvohr street area.

As is usual procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
