Robbery, Bangor

Police are investigating following a robbery at a filling station on the Rathgael Road, Bangor this evening (Friday 2 April). It is understood that two male youths entered the premises at approximately 6.45pm and demanded cash from staff. They then fled with a small sum of money along the Rathgael Road in the direction of the Newtownards Road.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have been travelling along the Rathgael Road at this time to contact detectives at Bangor on 0845 600 8000.
Two males aged 15 and 16 were arrested nearby a short time later and a small sum of cash was recovered. The arrested youths are currently helping police with their enquiries.
