Attempted robbery, Saintfield

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an attempted armed robbery at commercial premises in the Saintfield area this morning, Thursday 18 February.

Around 11.50am a male, thought to be in his early 20s and carrying a weapon, entered the premises in the Todds Hill area and threatened customers and a member of staff. He fled the scene empty handed when an alarm was activated.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who was in the Todds Hill area of Saintfield around 11.50am today and who may have witnessed a male acting suspiciously.
