Assault, Antrim Road, North Belfast

Police in North Belfast are appealing for information following an assault in the Antrim Road area.
Around 8.30pm on Sunday, 31 January, a 16 year old male was assaulted somewhere between Downview Avenue and Waterloo Gardens. The male was walking along when he was assaulted by a number of people. The teenager sustained facial injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
One of the males involved in described as being 5ft 10in tall with ginger hair. He was wearing a white hoody and dark training shoes. Another of the males is described as being 5ft 7in tall with dark, wavy hair. He was wearing a purple lacoste tracksuit. There are no descriptions for the other people involved.
Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the assault or has information in relation to it to contact them on 0845 600 8000. Information about crime can also be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
