Assault, Lenadoon, West Belfast

Police are appealing for information following an assault on a 34-year-old man on Tuesday evening (19 January) in Lenadoon .
The man was walking through Lenadoon Park just before 5.30pm when he was approached from behind by two males. He felt a sharp pain in the back of the neck. One of the males is believed to have cut or stabbed him there before both males ran away. The victim was not believed to have been seriously injured.
One of the males was about 6ft tall, with short dark hair and wearing a black tracksuit. The other was wearing a school uniform and carried a bag over his shoulder.
Anyone who was in the area and who witnessed the assault, anyone who may have seen the males running away or anyone with any other information is asked to contact police at Woodbourne on 0845 600 8000. Alternatively information may be given anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
