Armed robbery fast food outlet, Newtownabbey

Police in Newtownabbey are appealing for information following an armed robbery of a fast food outlet in the Church Road area last night (Sunday 17 January).
Shortly before 9:30pm two masked men wearing gloves, tracksuits and balaclavas and armed with a hammer and knife threatened staff before making off in the direction of Tesco shopping centre with a small sum of money. A male member of staff received a small cut to his hand.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information is asked to contact police at Newtownabbey on 0845 600 8000. Alternatively information can be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
