Armed robbery, Markethill

Police investigating an armed robbery at a filling station on Gosford Road, Markethill, County Armagh, on Saturday 9 January are appealing for information.

At around 8.30pm police received a report that two males wearing camouflage jackets and balaclavas had entered a shop.  One of the males is believed to have been armed with a gun.

The men forced a female member of staff to hand over a sum of cash before making off.  The staff member was physically unhurt but was very shaken by the incident.
