Burglary, Armagh

Detectives are appealing for information following a burglary at the home of an elderly lady in the Glenanne Road area of Armagh last night (Tuesday 5 January).

Shortly after 11:30pm five unknown masked and armed males entered the home of the 62 year old woman.  They forced the lady, her 26 year old daughter and her daughter’s 25 year old boyfriend into a bedroom while they searched the property.  Nothing was found and one of the men threatened the boyfriend with a knife before all left with a small sum of money.   It is believed an unknown type of vehicle was used in the burglary which made off in the direction of Camlough.  The occupants were unhurt but shaken by their ordeal.
