Device found M1, one man arrested

The M1 citybound, between Junction 14 (Tamnamore junction) and 13 was closed from 8:40pm last night (Tuesday 12 January) due to security alert following the discovery of a suspicious object.
A 20 years old man has been arrested by PSNI Serious Crime Branch in the Newry area this afternoon (Wednesday 13 January) and is being held at Antrim Serious Crime Suite.
The M1 has been reopened and a number of items have now been removed for further examination.
