Shooting Incident, Colin Road, Dunmurry

Detectives in Lisburn are investigating a shooting incident in the Colin Road area of Dumurry last night Friday 22 January.
Police received a report that shortly before 10pm a masked male fired a number of shots in a laneway opposite Colin Road. Two males, aged 19 and 16, sustained injuries - one to both his legs (19 year old) and the other to his lower back (16 year old). Both were taken to hospital for treatment.
The male who fired the shots is described as being approximately 5ft 8in tall, of slim build and was wearing dark clothing.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or has information in relation to it to contact police on 0845 600 8000. Information about crime can also be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
A motive for the shooting has not yet been established but paramilitary involvement is one line of enquiry.
