Theft of vehicle, William Street, Lurgan

Police in Lurgan are appealing for information following the theft of a vehicle in the William Street area this morning (Thursday 14 January).

The vehicle a silver Vauxhall Corsa had been stolen from outside a charity shop around 10:30am.  The owner of the vehicle who was not in the car at the time tried to stop the theft and was dragged a short distance.  The 72 year old woman was taken to hospital for treatment for shock and minor cuts and bruises.

Anyone who witnessed the theft of the vehicle or who has any information is asked to contact police at Lurgan on 0845 600 8000.  Alternatively information can be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
