South Belfast robberies

Police in South Belfast are appealing for information following a number of incidents in the area on Thursday 14 January.
At around 4:20pm four men armed with a hammer entered a travel agent premises on the Knockbreda Road and threatened staff before making off with a sum of money in a green Fiesta type vehicle.
Police in South Belfast are also appealing for information following an armed robbery of a licensed premise on the Lockview Road area last night.
Shortly after 7:00pm five to six youths entered the premises brandishing crowbars or carjacks and threatened staff. They made off with a sum of money and a quantity of alcohol.
Police are also appealing for information following a robbery and criminal damage to a foodstore on the Upper Lisburn Road at approximately 7:50pm last night.
Up to five youths aged between 16-20 years old entered the premises and proceeded to smash the shelves before making off with a sum of money and cigarettes In a grey coloured Ford Escort vehicle. A member of the public tried to block their getaway with his own vehicle but some of the youths jumped out and attacked his vehicle with a weapon.
