Police responded to a number of incidents of disorder in Belfast on the evening of Tuesday 13 July and morning of Wednesday 14 July.
Disorder in the Ardoyne area continued until around 2am.
A number of burning barricades were put in place and missiles, including fireworks and large number of petrol bombs, were thrown at police. High-powered laser pens were directed at police vehicles and a pipe bomb was thrown.
A number of shots were reported to have been heard at around 11.30pm in the Brompton Park area, however it has not been confirmed at present that shots were fired.
One officer was injured. The officer's injuries are not believed to serious.
A vehicle was hijacked at Crumlin Road and set alight. A number of Attenuating Energy Projectile rounds were discharged and water cannon used.
Army Technical Officers attended to deal with the pipe bomb device.
The area was relatively calm by 2am. Police continued to monitor the area throughout the morning.
Incidents of disorder in North Queen Street also continued until around 1am to 2am.
The Markets, Short Strand, Brougham Street and Frederick Street - where incidents also occurred - were calm by around 10pm to 11pm.
A full and thorough investigation has begin. Police will seek to identify and arrest those involved.
