Armed robbery and arrest Ballygomartin Road North Belfast

Police in North Belfast have arrested a 22 year old man following an armed robbery at off licence premises on the Ballygomartin Road.

At approximately 8.15pm on Wednesday night, 29 July, a male entered the shop and asked for alcohol and cigarettes. A member of staff served him and the man produced a firearm and demanded more alcohol, cigarettes and cash. These were put in a bag and the male left the shop.

A 22 year old man was subsequently arrested in the Ballygomartin Road area around 10.40pm on Wednesday night, 29 July.
