Hijacking Broadway West Belfast

Detectives in West Belfast are appealing for information following a hijacking near Broadway Roundabout on Monday morning, 5 July.
Shortly before 7.30am a white Ford Transit van was stopped on the countrybound offslip of the Westlink by a red Volkswagen Passat. Three males got out of the car and smashed the window screen of the van. The two male occupants were threatened with a knife and got out of the vehicle and ran off. The three males then got into the van and drove off.
The white van was found emptied and abandoned a short time later in Louden Street. A red Volkswagen Passat was also found abandoned here.
Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area of Westlink or Louden Street and witnessed these incidents or has information in relation to it to contact them on 0845 600 8000. Information about crime can also be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
