Vehicle hijacked, West Belfast

Detectives are investigating after a car was hijacked in West Belfast on Monday 19 July.

A man was standing at an cash machine at the junction of Falls Road and Iveagh Drive at around 10.30pm when he was approached from behind by at least one male. The male placed an object to the victim's back, threatened him and demanded his car keys.

These were handed over and the male made off in the vehicle.

The victim was left very shaken but phyisically uninjured.

Anyone who was in the area and who witnessed the incident, or anyone who knows of the current whereabouts of the grey coloured Volkswagen Passat car, is asked to contact Grosvenor Road CID by calling 0845 600 8000.
